“Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted, the indifference of those who should have known better, the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most, that has made it possible for evil to triumph.”  ~Jah Rastafari

SQUARE DROPS

16″ x 20″ Mixed Media on Canvas

What if rain drops were square instead of round?  Would they fall and collapse the way that they do now?  Would the oceans, rivers and puddles still look the same?  What kind of cup would you drink from?  Would you need a new kind of windshield wipers?  Would we all need to buy a different kind of umbrella?

PADDLE BALL DOOR

32″ x 84″ Mixed Media on Door

This is just a door.  It has hinges and a knob just like every other door.  It is made of wood.  It opens and closes.  It keeps things out and lets things in.  It locks for protection.  It unlocks to greet.  But,  this door didn’t want to be normal.  It is showing all the other doors what its really wants to be, what it is on the inside.  It went and got some artwork done to express itself.  It’s no normal door anymore.  This door is unique.  It is strong.  It is powerful.  This door will blow your doors off.  This door is…

THE ATTACK

16″ x 20″ Mixed Media on Canvas

There’s a battle going on.  Millions of soldiers march with fury in the pursuit of one goal.  Many will die along the way and only one will be strong enough to get beyond the outer walls of the fort.  Good luck brave soldiers.  Fight hard, be strong and remember… this is for the greater good of the world.

AROUND the SURFACE

24″ x 48″ Mixed Media on Canvas

I’m beginning to believe I am obsessed with circles.  Have I said that before?  They are the perfect shape though, aren’t they?  They’re continuous and never ending.  Maybe that is why I use them so often.  I would like my work to be that way.

GIRAFFADOOR

24″ x 84″ Mixed Media on Door

A skinny tall door was the perfect place for this giraffe like pattern.  So, Giraffadoor was born.  I like painting on doors now.  They are a good size canvas and there are always people on Craig’s List getting rid of them.  If anyone has any extra doors layin’ around let me know.

JELLY FLY

16″ x 20″ Mixed Media on Canvas

The fly.  The jelly.  The Jelly Fly.  Is it a creature?  Is it a new dance?  I think it’s a band.  Yeah, a friend of a friend say he saw them and they were pretty good.  Naw man, I recon tha Jelly Fly is a new lure dat’s out right ’bout now fo’ fishin’.  I thought it was a brand of hair gel.  I guess I could be wrong.

Jr. Gong

12″ x 24″ Aerosol on Metal

He is arguably one of the greatest reggae musicians of all time, but that is not so surprising.  Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley is the son of Bob Marley.  It is obvious that the king of reggae has passed down his talent through the blood lines.  This music must endure.  It is the music of the people and who better to share it with us than Jr. Gong?

ROSARIO

22″ x 24″ Aerosol on Wood

My wife thinks that I’m making art with celebrities on it so that I can end up meeting them.  That might not be a bad idea.  Thanks wife.  It’s not part of the plan, but if any of these find their way into a celeb’s hands it couldn’t hurt in helping the cause.  Rosario is my second choice anyways, so she’s got nothing to worry about.

PINK N PURP

12″ x 12″ Aerosol on Canvas

You’re so pretty with your all pink clothes ‘n’ your all pink car.  I hope the purple feathers in your hair get you real far.  ‘N’ that your tiny little doggie in your big pink bag, a purple bow in its hair in the photo you tagged.  But don’t get me wrong, I like purples and pink.  It’s just stereo types about colors that make me think.  Are the colors that she wears what bothers me?  Or is it that the media has to let us all see?

MORNING SUN  (SOLD)

16″ x 20″ Aerosol on Canvas

Lots of people flock to the beach to watch the sunset.  I think I’d rather watch it arrive.  It brings the light of a new day filled with something different to us.  I love the morning rays peeking through the window and watching the dust particles that dance on them. There is no doubt I could spend everyday out in the sun.  It’s almost summer and soon we’ll get to spend more time together.

TROIS

12″ x 12″ Aerosol on Canvas

3.  It’s a magic number.  Yes it is.  Well, at least in a Jack Johnson song it is.  In my life it is too.  Part of one of my nick names has 003 in it, because I am the 3rd member of the Husslafunk Mob.  That’s right, I’m in a mob (don’t try to google it, we’re off the grid).  I’m also the 1st of three brothers in my family.  The third time is a charm.  Of course there is more, but I don’t want to fill the page :)

GUARDIANS

24″ x 36″ Aerosol on Canvas

Sometimes I feel like there is something watching over me.  Maybe it’s the spirits of people I used to know in this life.  Maybe they are friends from lives past.  But I know there is something.  Something is watching out for me while I am here.  Thanks guys.

WAITING  (SOLD)

24″ x 44″ Mixed Media on Wood

Sometimes surfing is a waiting game.  The ocean can be as flat as glass or crazy rough with waves coming from all directions.  But we wait.  We wait.  And we wait some more.  Because even if we only ride one wave that day, it make that day a whole lot better.
