I remember climbing trees all the time when I was younger. Testing the limits of each branch while I tried to get as close to the top as I could. If my mom saw this she probably would have had a heart attack. Don’t worry ma, now I play it safe and will just try to paint one here and there.
SIMPLE CIRCLES

Simple Circles is a gift to my brother Marco. It is filled with circles of paint that were created with various sizes of cardboard tubes. I see an overhead view of open paint cans in this one. How ’bout you?
HAIR PIECE

If you don’t know it yet, I am obsessed with hair. Hair styles, beards, wizard beards, afros, braids, locks, cornrows, fades, etc. I had to try painting something with some big hair in it and here it is.
BIRCHES

I was in the Dollar Tree the other day looking for things to use as painting tools when I came across this shape. It’s a triangle with a circle cut out of it and is made of wax. They were selling it as a ring crayon for kids. You slide the ring on your finger and then you can draw with it. I’m using it here to create the trunks of trees for my small forrest.
SIDEWAYS SUNFLOWERS

I like to have patterns in my work as you can tell, but I also like to have a little chaos too. This is one of my favorite examples of those two things brought together on one canvas. They were regular sunflowers, but that name just didn’t have the same ring to it. So, I turned the canvas to the right and now we have Sideways Sunflowers.
UGLY

U-G-L-Y, you ain’t got no alibi, you ugly, what what, you ugly. I could not get this out of my head while I was painting this. I was going for ugly, really ugly. I think I nailed it, but I kinda like it though. Is it really ugly? What do you think?
