This is not over. It is the end of a period of time. A time where young artists must die to become immortalized. A time where the fight between good and evil still lingers. Where motive-less killers prey on innocent minds to become a part of history. I’d much rather die having made 365 pieces of art with no recognition. I’d rather put Jimi Hendrix’s eyes over Charles Manson’s face and make him look a whole lot more friendly. Because I… still believe in good. Let love rule and there will be no more violence. Every end is a new beginning. Reasons unseen will come to light in future days. We are all creatures of love. WE ARE ALL CREATURES OF LOVE, but if we cannot find love in our own worlds… we go mad. I think I went a little mad this year. But not due to lack of love. Mad in a good way. People need to find their outlets in the world. I found my outlet at a very young age. It is amazing what can happen if you give a kid a box of crayons, a piece of paper and positive words. Stay positive, be good and try to see the goodness in others. We all have something inside to share. Find your outlet and let the electricity flow.

I am a cultural revolutionary, even though I have no idea what that means. I will travel to far away lands and help people in need, once I am able to walk. I will show the world my talents,when I figure out what they are. I will be spontaneous, even though my parents might be hesitant. I will be open minded. I will be understanding, honest and loyal. I will not pass judgement on others and treat people with respect. I will be great. I know this, because my parents told me so.

The land of Oz(lyn) is filled with colors and scribbles and life. Sometimes we catch her staring at one of my paintings. That is the greatest compliment I have ever received. To capture the mind of someone that is only days old with artwork inspired in part by them… full circle. When you get older I hope you stop and stare at everything. Take it all in and take none of it for granted. Add your touch to what moves you. Be inspired! I don’t want you to ever have to grow up, but when you do… I can’t wait to see your world. Wrapped up in fluid, flesh and skin… you grew. Tracking your size… a pea, a plum, a fist, a football. I’ll never forget the day that present was opened. The cry of life you shouted into the world. The doctor… Oh my God she has a lot of hair! The tears running down your mother’s cheeks. The experience of love at first site. I didn’t know that was real. The feeling of shedding all selfishness from my being. The knowledge of danger… the day I walked out of the hospital I realized how scary the world we live in is. I realized how precious life really is. Yes, anyone can create life, but there is no doubt it is a miracle… every… single… time. If you don’t believe in a higher power after seeing your child for the first time… you should get your soul checked. She is life. She is beauty. She is love. You are love little girl. You are love. You… are love.

Last night I was racing down the highway trying to get away from a bunch of teenagers that were throwing eggs at my car. I was going as fast as I could, but a hybrid is really no match for a Mustang. I got in front of them and the driver lost control. Light, dark, light, dark, light was the last thing I remembered before the crash. Three bodies sprawled out on the pavement in a red sea. I put a flower in one of their shirts. I drizzled honey in another’s wounds. And rested my head on the third’s chest and said,”there is no way you can like this on Facebook”. I counted to four, pulled out a brown marker and wrote “put it in the oven” across each of their foreheads. Then… I woke up! Man my dreams are gettin’ weird.

A BIT NORMAL

Searching for normal is like searching for rainbow striped unicorns. In this world it… they… just don’t exist. In this year… it has just disappeared. In the next few days… it will just get more weird. This is normal. My normal. What? Rainbow striped unicorns don’t exist? Life has been happening in so many different ways. Seems like the yesterdays are getting further and further way. Will I be bored if I don’t paint and draw and paint and…? Are you sure they aren’t real?  My brother’s friend said he saw one once. Going crazy over the end. Going crazy over the future. Going crazy is keeping me sane. Going crazy is finding a rainbow striped unicorn and trying to tame it. I knew they were real.

Visualize it right in front of me. Something new every single day. Some kind of art, something to say. Never felt so prolific, so inspired, so… appreciative. Motivations coming from every direction. New friends, new fans, new… life. See it now the end is near. See it in front of me so clear. One whole year… of art. One whole year… of inspiration. Thank you for your patience. For your dedication. ESSENCE OF MY BEING

Go back. Back to, when I was two and drew too. Not too much to do. The essence of my being is being able to… draw. I would draw and draw and draw the things that I saw. A stick figure person or a finger print tree, a boat, an apple… a bee. I went through crayons like seconds go through minutes go through hours into days. I would sit there and draw for days. So, I take it back to the essence and grace you with the presence of this skinless lizard-like menace. He might live in this house or out in these woods. He’s been in the making as these days have turned into years. And now finally… finally… he is here.
